General Body Meetings

At regular meetings you have an opportunity to meet and hang out with other members. GBMs always come with fun events and foods - previously, we have held BBQ chicken tasting, pepero making, and cook n' chat.

Of course you don't wanna miss out. Become a KCA member quick!

Chuseok

KCA holds an event annually to celebrate Chuseok, Korean thanksgiving. It's usually held early in the fall semester and is KCA's second largest event of the year (behind the street food festival).

KCA's Chuseok celebration will definitely be a fun time. Think traditional Korean folk games like chicken fight and tug of war, kahoot with exclusive prizes, and of course, yummy Korean food and good vibes. Check out photos from last year's Chuseok event here.

Also look out for emails about this year's Chuseok celebration this fall!

Street Food Festival

KCA's street food festival is the club's largest event of the year. Usually happening mid-spring, our street food festival brings together upwards of hundreds of people. Now, talk about a festival, not only do you get to explore delicious food, but you also get to witness performances from amazing MIT student groups. During the past two years, we have been fortunate enough to have performers from MIT ADT, MIT Syncopasian, MIT Sport Taekowndo, and rapper Ally Minju.

Long lines overflowing from the Bush room into Lobby 10 is a common sight on the event day, so make sure you look out for emails from us, and pre-order your tickets to secure them before they're sold out day of. If tickets are gone, don't @ us; we warned you!

Also the webmaster has heard that KCA members might get some special perks for the event. Talk about a bargain deal 👀...become a member!

Special Events

These events are special for a reason; they don't happen every year. We execs ourselves don't even know about them until 2-3 weeks before! Somebody shouts out an idea and if it's a good one, we'll make it happen.

Remember when Squid Game came out booming two years ago? Yep, we held an event inspired by the show. A die-hard hip-hop fan? Last year we held a K-hip-hop social event featuring a rapper with a ticket giveaway raffle!

We don't even know what special events we're gonna host this year, so look out for our emails and stay tuned.
